 Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, December 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Clark Brown and Bro. Ken Brown will officiate. Place of rest will be in the Sherwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 16th from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.  To view a livestream of the service on Thursday at 10:00 a.m., please click HERE.

Mr. Hensley, age 90, of Dickson, TN died December 14, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Stewart County, Tennessee, son of the late Amel Mac (Jack) and Willie Agnes Lyons Hensley.  He formerly worked in the maintenance department of the former Schrader’s and Red Cap Industries. Mr. Hensley was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha “Marie” Fleet Hensley in 2017.

Mr. Hensley loved spending his time on the water fishing.  He loved dropping his line for the next big catch.  He was raised on farm living and developed a love of farming, planting his garden and raising tobacco.

He had a special talent of drawing and painting and turning ordinary things into pieces of art.  This was such a great pastime for him over the years.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kathy Alberd and her husband Eddie of Dickson, TN and Vickie Parker and her husband Ronald of Dickson, TN, his brother Jay Hensley of Ashland City, TN, his two grandsons, Gary Tummins and wife Wendy and Travis Alberd, his two granddaughters, Heavenly Taylor and Courtney Tummins and a very special little friend, Kenzley
