Born in Posey County, Indiana, Troy was the son of the late Elvis Lee and Mary Elizabeth Mode Ingle. He was a great small-engine mechanic and was self employed as the owner of a lawn mower shop. He was married to Loyse Murray (Ingle) and they were the parents of five children. Two of his daughters predeceased him: Ada Dawn Petty and Elisa Ingle. He was also preceded by a brother, Larry Ingle, and a sister, Judy Dardeen.
Survivors include his wife, Loyse Ingle, Dickson; a son, Troy Ingle, Jr. (Candy), Dickson; two daughters, April Fawn Jones, Charlotte, TN, and Angel Mae Bell (Jeff), Vanleer, TN; a brother, Robert Ingle, Colorado; and three sisters, June Ward and Nancy Bybee, both of Florida, and Jane Deputy, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
