Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery in Humphreys County. Visitation with the family will take place on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of service.

Harvel “Richard” Elliott, age 74 of Dickson, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. He was born on December 24, 1946 to the late Harvel and Ethel Wright Elliott.

Richard was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a mechanic and a truck driver, among various other occupations he worked from time to time. Anyone that knew him knew that he loved to talk and gossip, and he excelled greatly in that hobby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Wright Elliott and Patsy Fielder.

Survivors include his children: Christopher Elliott (Shannon) of White Bluff, Jamie Elliott (Crystal) of Dickson, Brian Elliott (Ronna) of Dickson, Shane Elliott (Tiffani) of Cumberland Furnace, Gib Elliott (Dianna) of Centerville, and Emily Elliott (Bill) of Clarksville; and his grandchildren: Skylar Buckner, Chase Elliott, Hunter Elliott, Talon Elliott, Sawyer Elliott, Stetson McCallister, and Bubba McCallister.
