Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Milam officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery. Betty Ann Burton Potts, age 77 of Lyles, TN passed away peacefully on March 19, 2021 due to dementia. She was born on December 10, 1943 in Nashville, TN to the late Robert and Martha Burton. She married her husband William “Bill” Potts on September 14, 1963 who preceded her in death in 1982.

Betty loved to cook. She was famous for her coconut cake. She had a servant’s heart and gave a loving home to many people. For 24 years Betty worked as a water treatment specialist with the Bon Aqua-Lyles Utility District. She loved her job and worked very hard to make sure the community always had safe water to drink.

She was the much-loved mother to her two daughters: Becky Beard (Darrell) and Kristi Page (Shannon). She is survived by her sister: Mary O’Brien and her brother: Dewey Burton. She is the cherished grandmother of Courtney Field (James Brand), Lindsey Tune (Roger), Austin Page, and Maddie Beard; and Great-Grandmother to McKenna, Mylee, Jacob, Easton, Zada and Rubye. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, who loved her deeply.
