 Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Her son, Jeff Keele, will officiate and Steve Baggett will assist. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 8th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Keele, age 79, of Dickson, TN passed from this life peacefully April 3, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Dickson County. Miriam was the daughter of the late Leroy Clarence and Helen Gould Pewitt Petty. She was the loving wife of Charles Keele for over 60 years and the dedicated mother of Jeff and Greg.

Miriam worked most of her life serving the Special Needs Students as both a Teacher’s Aide and Bus Driver for the Dickson County School System. She could also be seen supporting her husband, “Coach Keele” at most of the home basketball games of the Dickson County Cougarettes during his tenure as their coach. Miriam was a faithful member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ.

 Survivors include her husband of more than 60 years Charles “Coach” Keele of Dickson, TN, her two sons, Jeff Keele and his wife, Becky, of Waverly, TN and Greg Keele of Dickson, TN, her four grandchildren, Tiffani Keele, Donnie Keele, Juanita McMurray and her husband, Travis, and Brandon Keele and his future wife, Kay. Her six great grandchildren, Isaiah McMurray, Avram McMurray, Gabriel Keele,  Kayleigh Kimbro, Sky Keele and Joanna Kimbro. Also surviving are several cousins.
