Graveside services will take place on Sunday April 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Worley Furnace Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Overton officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 at the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Worley Furnace Cemetery in Dickson County.

Mrs. Lillie Jean Horner was born on June 4, 1935 to the late Idella Sanders in Dickson County, Tennessee. She departed this life on Monday afternoon, April 12, 2021. Lillie Jean was united in holy matrimony to the late Archie Horner, Sr. in 1957. She retired from Henry I. Siegel. Mrs. Horner was also a faithful caretaker for the Jackson, Wynn, and Potts families for a number of years.

She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined the Worley Furnace Missionary Baptist Church. She later relocated her membership to Bethel Baptist Church where she served on the Mother Board. She really enjoyed being a mother, as well as cooking, helping others, and reading her bible.

In addition to her mother and her husband, Lillie was preceded in death by her son: John “Sonny” Jackson; three brothers: Elmo Overton, William Sanders and Alex Sanders; and one sister: Annie Lee Hogan.

 

Loving memories will be cherished by her three sons: Archie Horner, Jr. of El Paso, TX, Nathaniel Horner (Tammy) of Dickson, TN, and Vincent T. Horner of Dickson, TN; her daughter: Carmella Horner of Dickson, TN; a sister: Idell Sanders of Dickson, TN; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends, and church family.
