Funeral services for Daisy Helyn Hobbs, age 85 of White Bluff, will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2021 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Dan Tholen officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
She died Friday, May 7, 2021 at her home. Her pallbearers will be Marlon Hobbs, Graham Hobbs, Elliott Hobbs, Jesse Clement, Anthony Hobbs, Calvin Woodard, Mark Woodard, and Jack Woodard. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Max Woodard and Evan Holt. For those desiring, memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association, Breast Cancer Awareness, Autism Foundation, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Born in Dickson County, Helyn was the daughter of the late Robert and Geneva Proctor Baker. She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Stringer. Helyn retired as the Postmaster of the Charlotte Post Office and was a member of Pleasant View Church of Christ in White Bluff.
Survivors are her children, Jody Hobbs of White Bluff, Jennifer Clement (Greg) of White Bluff, Jo Pulley (Dan) of White Bluff, Tracy Hobbs of Lewisburg, and John David Hobbs of Dickson; her brother, James Baker (Linda) of White Bluff; her sisters, Kathleen Freeman of White Bluff, Jettie Bradford of LaVergne, TN, and Debbie Baker of Antioch, TN; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
