Funeral services will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Elder Christopher Hall Eulogist. Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday July 10th from 12 PM until time of service and Mr. Hall will be out for viewing Friday July 9th after 2 PM.

Mr. John Morris Hall, age 85 of Dickson, TN passed away Saturday July 3, 2021. Born in White Bluff, TN he was the son of the late Brewer Hall, Sr. and Mamie Eskew Hall and was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Nelson Hall. John had worked many different jobs, one being he owned and ran the former Red Pig Barbeque and his last job was working as head custodian at the State Vocational School here in Dickson. John was drafted into the U.S. Army and following his service in the Army he joined the Tennessee National Guard and retired from the National Guard with over 30 plus years. John was the first black man to join the National Guard in Dickson County in the early 70’s and was the second black man to enlist in the National Guard in the state.
Survivors include his sons, Kerry Montrell Hall and Antonie Maurice Hall both of Dickson, TN; daughters, June Brown of Dickson, TN, Carolyn Brown of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Elder Brewer Hall Jr, (Alberta) of Nashville, TN; 6 grandchildren; host of great grandchildren; host of great-great grandchildren; host of other relatives and friends.
