Born in Dickson, Grace was the daughter of the late Clessie and Lillie Mae Scott Alderidge. She retired as a machine operator for the former Red Kap Industries in Dickson. Grace was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Herrell and by her second husband, Buford Painter, and by brothers, James Curtis Alderidge, and Ace Alderidge. She was a member of Lee’s Chapel Church of Christ. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, and she loved gardening and tending to the flowers in her yard.
She is survived by her children, Ray Herrell (Pat), Southside, Ann Bledsoe, Charlotte, Rocky Herrell, Southside, Buffy Fawver (Bruce), Charlotte, and Tina Cathey (Dennis), Charlotte; a brother, Gene Alderidge (Kathy), White Bluff; two sisters, Rosebud Christy, White Bluff, and Charlotte Settle (Jerry), Dickson; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
