 Millie, known to most as Ms. Millie, Mom, and Nana, went to be with The Lord on September 10, 2021. She was born on November 21, 1951, in Union City, TN. She was a graduate of Union City High School and attended Memphis State University. She retired from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 2014. She was a member of Sylvia Baptist Church, Dickson, TN where her husband Dr. Clark A. Brown is pastor.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Edna Stephens of Union City, TN, and one sister, Glenda Stephens Doss of Union City, TN. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clark Anthony Brown, two sons, Chad (Holly) Brown of Louisville, KY and Todd (Kelly) Brown of Dandridge, TN, six grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown, Eddie Durrett, Emily Brown, Ben Chandler, Tucker Brown, and Ansley Brown, and one sister, Diane Stephens of Union City, TN.  She was preceded in death by her precious four legged companion Sam just four hours before Millie passed away.

A celebration of life will be held at Sylvia Baptist Church in Sylvia, TN at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14. 2021. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service starting at 5:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Eastview Cemetery in Union City, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sylvia Baptist Church Building Fund or the National MS Society.
