 Dan Beasley Andrews, 94, of Nashville and Dickson, Tennessee passed away September 10, 2021. Born on July 13, 1927 in Dickson, TN, he was the son of the late B. B. and Anna B. Andrews. He is survived by his sons, Dan Beasley Andrews, Jr. (Sherry) and William Mark Lyle Andrews; grandchildren, Sarah Andrews Benton (Clark) and Margaret Blakely Andrews; great grandson, William Clark Benton; sister Bettie Andrews Lundy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ward Neblett Andrews and his loving wife, Roberta Neblett Andrews.

 After high school graduation from Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, TN, Dan attended David Lipscomb College and later transferred to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Following a stint in the U.S. Army where he served in the Medical Corp, Dan worked for the Stauffer Chemical Company in Mt Pleasant, TN. He became interested in banking and joined First National Bank of Dickson where he spent 20-plus years as President, CEO and Board Member. While furthering his education, Dan attended LSU School of Banking as a graduate and teacher and graduated from Northwestern University School of Trust. He also served Dominion Bank of Middle Tennessee as an Executive Council Board Member.

 Dan was generous of his time and shared his expansive financial acumen serving on numerous boards including the Tennessee Bankers Association as President and Vice President; Federal Reserve Bank, Nashville, TN as Director for two terms; Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Sixth District as Director for two terms; Dickson County Industrial Development Board as Chairman, Dickson Vanderbilt Alumni Association as Chairman; Boy Scouts of Middle Tennessee Council as Executive Board Member; Dickson County Historical Society as Chairman; Interim Professor, University College, Vienna Austria, Dickson County Chamber of Commerce as Director and Officer; Dickson County American Red Cross as Director; David Lipscomb College as Advisory Director; UT Knoxville School of Business Administration for Banking and Finance as Advisory Committee; Castle Heights as Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient; ABA Washington Delegate, Dickson City Councilman; Dickson United Way as Chairman. He and his late wife were lifelong members of Walnut Street Church of Christ.

 An avid reader and Winston Churchill enthusiast, Dan was well-known for his strong interests in American and European history and World military events, especially WWI and WWII. As an educator, he took pride in mentoring others to lead prosperous and fulfilled careers under his guidance and supportive nature. In his free time, Dan enjoyed the art of calligraphy and exploring his family lineage through genealogy. In addition to his passion for agriculture, Dan developed a strong interest and was very knowledgeable of many types of roses, cultivating beautiful gardens. He will always be remembered for his humor, generous spirit, and compelling storytelling that touched the hearts of so many.

A private family graveside was held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Dickson Union Cemetery, Dickson, TN. Dr. Todd Jones officiated and Amy Davis, soloist.

 The family wishes to thank the staff at NHC-The Trace for their dedication of care and loving support.
