Rev. Howard Bruce Wingo, Sr.

Funeral services will be Friday September 24, 2021 at 4 PM at Parker’s Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Woody Sanders and Wes Pattison officiating. Place of rest will be in the Parker-Fowlkes Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday September 23rd from 3 to 8 PM at Parker’s Creek Baptist Church and on Friday from 2 PM until time of service.
Rev. Howard Bruce Wingo, Sr. age83 of Dickson, TN passed away Sunday September 19, 2021. He was the son of the late Mark “Ross” and Ethel Vivian Anderson Wingo and was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Sherry Wingo; 4 brothers, Ted, Dan, Mickey and Douglas Wingo. Rev. Wingo was a retired minister and had been the Pastor of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church, Parker’s Creek Baptist Church, Maple Grove Baptist Church, Full Gospel Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church and Freedom Baptist Church. He was ordained into the ministry in 1973. Rev. Wingo attended the Ministerial Alliance of Dickson weekly, was on the chair with the Help Center, had been the Chaplain for the Dickson Co. Jail and on the Prayer team every Tuesday. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Wingo of Dickson, TN; son, Howard Wingo, Jr (Lissa) of Fayetteville, TN; daughters, Teresa Wingo of Fayetteville, TN, Angela Gash (Sam) of Dickson, TN; step-children, Woody Sanders of Thomasville, GA, Jeff Sanders of Ashland City, TN, Daven Hainsworth of Dickson, TN; brothers, Tom Wingo and Allen Wingo both of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters, Betty Vance of Conway, AR, Eileen Askew and Judy Holley both of Leslie, AR; 3 grandchildren, Glenn Wingo, Gregory Gash, Annie Wingo; 12 step-grandchildren; 18 step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
