 Funeral services for John Wayne “Johnny” Gafford, age 66 of White Bluff, will begin at 3 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Donny Hutcheson officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Prayer Mausoleum at Dickson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.  Johnny died Monday, October 18, 2021 at Horizon Medical Center.

Born in Dickson County, Johnny was the son of the late J. D. and Winnie Louise Clark Gafford.  Now retired, Johnny formerly worked as a foreman for Sessions (Asphalt) Paving Company.  He was married to Lou Elkins Gafford.

Survivors include his wife, Lou Gafford, White Bluff; children, Sherry Bennett (Evan), David Jones, all of Lyles, Steve Jones and Mark Jones, of White Bluff; Danny Jones (Reba), and Jeffery Gafford, all of Dickson; a sister, Fay Hall, of Vanleer; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  He was preceded by children, Shelly Jones, Sharon Hinkley, and Kayla Bennett.
