She was the manager and owner of the famous West Dickson store, Bruce’s Grocery. A turn of the century cash registers was still present and was known for its penny candy, one of the last stores in Dickson where you could still buy something for a penny.

Wilma was a 1958 graduate of Dickson High School.  She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Dickson, TN where she taught Sunday School for the 3 year old and 5 year old children for some 25 years.

She is survived by her two brothers; Jimmy Bruce and Dr. Larry Bruce both of Dickson, TN and her sisters; Edna Rye of Dickson, TN and Sandra Heggie of Burns, TN. Also surviving are many, many nieces and nephews, and many, many great nieces and nephews.
