A private – family only – funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Private burial with military honors will take place immediately following in the Williams Cemetery in White Bluff. Public visitation with the family will be on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home.

William “Edsel” Brown, age 91 of White Bluff, TN, passed away on February 7, 2022 at The Lodge at Natchez Trace in Nashville. He was born on June 14, 1930 to the late William Clyde and Lela Mae Lewis Brown in Dickson County. Edsel was married to his loving wife: Edna Ruth Choate Brown for 70 years upon his passing.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a combat veteran during the Korean War. He was later honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. He also worked for many years as a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor for Turner Engineering Company. Mr. Brown faithfully attended the White Bluff United Methodist Church for many years, having served on the Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Ruth, volunteered countless hours for many years at various charities in the Dickson County community.
In addition to his parents, Edsel was preceded in death by his sister: Bertha Mae Parrish; and a brother: Lawrence Brown.
Survivors include his wife: Ruth Brown of White Bluff; his sons: Wendell Brown (Christy) of Brentwood, and Keith Brown (LouAnne) of Pegram; his brother: Farris Brown (Betty Sue) of Panama City Beach, FL; his sisters: Ruby Wolven of White Bluff, Darlene Lowe of Ashland City, Barbara Sue Marlin (Ernie) of White Bluff, and Yvonne Quillen (James) of White Bluff; his grandchildren: Spencer Brown (Vanessa) of White Bluff, Leslie Brown of Murfreesboro, and Andrew, Landon and Winston Brown, all of Brentwood.
