A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Kenny Brown officiating. Place of rest will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Sondra Kay Tucker, age 79 of Dickson, TN, died on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at her home.
Sondra was born May 24, 1942, to the late Raymond Brown and Margaret Dowdy Brown. She was a graduate of the Class of 1960, Charlotte High School. After earning her Master’s degree, she became a kindergarten teacher at Charlotte Elementary School where she taught for many years. Teaching kindergarten was something she was extremely proud of. Sondra was a member of the First Baptist Church and Tennessee Educator’s Association. She enjoyed living near her niece, nephews, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces and she had a deep affection for her pets.
She is survived by her son; William Tucker of Dickson, TN, Daughter; Tracey Emmons (Ronnie) of Carthage, N.C., Brother; Ken Brown (Cindi) of Dickson, TN, 2 Grandchildren; Maggie Emmons of Carthage N.C., and Sarah Tucker of Dickson, TN.
