 Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, March 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Jason Thompson and Tommy Nicks will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 26th from 5:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.

Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project or to the Harpeth Hill Church of Christ Camp HyLake.

Wanda Beasley von Gruenigen, age 81, of Franklin died peacefully Thursday, March 24, 2022 at her home in Franklin, TN.

Wanda was born in Nashville, TN, grew up in Dickson and was the daughter of the late Jess Walker (Satch) and Katherine Halliburton Beasley.  She was a graduate of Dickson High School, class of 1958 and attended the University of Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Albert (Jim) von Gruenigen who died in 2003.

She married Jim in 1960 and loved being an army wife while living in several different places until his retirement in 1986. They enjoyed their retirement years in Franklin, TN.  Her life was lived serving others, with an abundance of interests and so much love for her family and friends. She loved to watch Lady Vols basketball.  She found so much delight in attending luncheons with all of her high school girl friends and was so passionate about her years of playing bridge. She was a member of the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ in Brentwood, TN.

She is survived by her three children; Lydia (Burt) Bradford of Franklin, TN , Katherine (Dr. Tim Hughes) Hughes of Greenville,  SC, and Eric (John) von Gruenigen of Bartow, FL, her four grandchildren; Trey Bradford of Nashville, TN Claibourne (Leah) Hughes of Savannah, GA, Elizabeth Hughes of Greenville, SC, and Hunter Bradford of Nashville, TN, her sister; Margaret (Doug) Buttrey of Franklin, TN,  her nephew; Nathan (Jessica) Buttrey of Brentwoood, TN, great nieces; Mimi Buttrey, Emma Leroche, her great nephews; Jess Buttrey and Drake Buttrey.
