 Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Dr. Mike Miller and Gary Vincent will officiate.  Visitation will be on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Connie Sue Averitte Huggins, age 69, of Dickson, TN died suddenly April 1, 2022 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center.

She was a lifelong resident of Dickson County, daughter of the late James L. (John) and Elsie Mai Dunn Averitte. She was so proud to be the wife of James Blaine (Butch) Huggins. Connie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Dickson.

Connie loved going to flea markets and to the Goodwill Store with her husband.  She and her husband were always on the go enjoying life.  Her favorite thing to do was to attend her church at First Baptist.  Always there and never wanted to miss.

Her love affair started over 30 years ago with her now husband, James Blaine (Butch) Huggins. They dated several years and have been married for 29 years.  They both love their extended families at the Developmental Services of Dickson County.

Survivors include her husband; James Blaine (Butch) Huggins of Dickson, TN, her two sisters; Joy Elaine Collins of Tennessee City, TN and Darlene Lane of Dickson, TN, her brother in law: Tommy Huggins of White Bluff, TN., and also her Developmental Services of Dickson County family.

Casket bearers will be John Petty, Adam Lechner. Eric Moore, Richard Streck, Peter Bogdan and Mike Salewsky.
