Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Singleton Funeral Home in Glen Burnie Maryland. Pastor Karen Putatch will officiate. Visitation will be Monday evening May 2, 2022 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery of Crownsville on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.

Mrs. Medicus, age 96, of White Bluff, Tennessee formerly of Linthicum, Maryland died peacefully at Magnolia Place in Waverly, Tennessee with her daughter and son in law by her side.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and was the daughter of the late Karl and Bertha Jurack. In her early years she worked with Revere Copper and Brass and later years worked as a secretary for Linthicum Elementary School. She moved to Tennessee a few years back to be with her daughter and son in law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Milford Medicus, Jr. on December 31, 2007. She was also preceded in death by  her sister Katherine B. Hancock and her brother Augie Jurack.

Mrs. Medicus was a longtime member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Linthicum Heights, MD.

She is survived by her daughter; Karen Van Leeuwen and her husband, Mark of White Bluff, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews.
