 Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Sesler officiating. Place of rest will be in the Cumberland Furnace Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

 

Mr. Donald Wesley Hagewood, age 84, of Romulus Michigan, passed away May 5, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital Wayne. Born in Cumberland Furnace, TN, he was the son of the late Henry Wesley Hagewood and Lillian Gafford Hagewood and was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Felts Hagewood and granddaughter Rebecca Williams.

 

Donald had moved to Michigan at the age of 18 and worked for General Motor Company for 38 years. He was a very loving and giving family man, someone who was always understanding. His goal was to work and return to TN, back to Cumberland Furnace, the place he loved. He enjoyed old cars, car shows and talking with people.

 

Survivors include his son; Douglas Hagewood (Lola) of Michigan, daughters; Donna Wreford (James) and Darlene Hagewood, both of Michigan, sister; Helen Harding (Wayne) of Florida, Grandchildren; Angela Zajack, Keven Zajack, Shane Hagewood, Shianne Hagewood, David Compton, all of Michigan, Daniel Compton (Krystal), Sarah Compton, both of Indiana, three nieces and seven Great-grandchildren.
