Donnie Craig, Dr. Mike Miller, Bro. Dan Richards, and Bro. Steve Shepard officiating.  Interment, with military honors, will follow at Union Cemetery in Dickson.  Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 4 until 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of service.  For those desiring, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Assn. or to Parkinson’s Disease Assn.  Ronnie died peacefully on October 20, 2022 at his home.

Born in Dickson, Tennessee, Ronnie was the son of the late Ernest and Minnie Lee Jones.  He was a 1969 graduate of the former Dickson High School, where he played trombone in the Dickson Dragon Marching Band.  He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War between 1971 and 1975.  Ronnie was married to Marsha Street Jones.  For many years Ronnie served as manager of Chappell’s Cee Bee in White Bluff.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and its Branches Sunday School Class.  He had a great personality, and those who worked with him loved him.  Ronnie was a die-hard U. T. Vols Fan and a Cincinnati Reds Fan.  He loved to golf, to travel, and to “eat out,” especially at breakfast time.  He was an avid bowler at the Bowl-O-Rena in Dickson and was a regular on the Wednesday Night Mixed Leagues.  He received a ring for achieving a high score of 299!

Ronnie loved his family and was a sweet, kind, and thoughtful “Gentle Giant.”  His heart was full of gratitude and he expressed “Thank You!” for even the simplest of kindnesses shown to him.  And his wife never left his sight without the admonition from him to “Be Careful!”  He will always be loved and sorely missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Street Jones, Dickson; children Cassie Jones Perales (Mat) and Travis Greer (Lynsey), all of Dickson; grandchildren, Katy Greer, Quentin Greer, Keith Greer, Eli Greer, Brayden Perales, and Kizzi Perales; nephews, Corey Jones, Brad Jones, Andy Street, and Aubrey Street; several great-nieces and nephews.  He was preceded by two brothers, Ernest Ray Jones and Phil Jones.
