Private graveside services were held Sunday November 13, 2022 at the Harvey Cemetery with Pastor Wes Sesler officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Florence Boulevard Church of Christ, 2502 Florence Blvd, Florence, AL 35630 or to Waterfowl Enthusiast of Big Springs (WEBS) www.PayPal.me/webshsv (select friends and family option). Mr. Donald Ross O’Kain “Pepa” of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully Friday November 11, 2022 on his 80th birthday at the Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Clarksville, TN to the late William “Bill” Henry O’Kain and Lillian Virginia Harvey O’Kain. Donald grew up in Stayton, TN and graduated from Charlotte High School in Dickson County. He was a radio disc jockey in his younger years and lived much of his life in Florence, AL where he retired from Cooks Pest Control after many years. Donald was a member of Florence Boulevard Church of Christ. He enjoyed writing poetry, stopping at yard sales and flea markets, and eating at Cracker Barrell with friends and family.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Helen O’Kain and his nephew, Jon O’Kain.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Catherine O’Kain; three grandchildren, Kristin (Michael), Colin and Caitlin; two great grandchildren, Marsie and Breken. Donald also had many wonderful friends in his online chat rooms from all over the country that he enjoyed chatting with daily, as well as longtime friends that stayed in close contact with him.
