Aaliyah Danielle Long, age 21 of Dickson, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 26, 2022. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Taylor Funeral Home.  Place of rest will be in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery on Hortense Road, Dickson, TN.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. 

Aaliyah was born on May 4, 2001 in Nashville, TN.  She was a graduate of Creekwood High School, class of 2019.  She was people person, she never met a stranger, an attribute that allowed her to be successful as a caregiver.  She had a joyful outgoing personality; some might say she was the “life of the party”.  Those closest to her knew that she was well grounded, she loved God.  She had an “old soul” and was always the same person, day in/day out.  Aaliyah also had a great love for her family and her godchildren. 

Aaliyah was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Susan Long and Teresa Evans; great grandparents, Jesse (Clara) Long, James Neblett, Martha Neblett, and Jerry Don Evans; great uncles William Long and Marty Long; and a special cousin, Ashlee Long.

Aaliyah is survived by her parents, Terry and Taquetta Evans; her brothers, Demontae Evans and Jamarcus Evans; her aunts, Tanisha Long-Jordan, Mercedies Davis, and Ashley Evans.  Also surviving is a grandparent, Dean (Bridgette) Evans; great grandmother, Rebecca Evans; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends.
