Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, December 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Nicholas Chrisohon will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Place of rest will be in the Hilltop Cemetery in Hickman County.
Claudine Stinson “Dean” Batson, age 83 of College Grove, TN, formerly of Dickson, died suddenly December 14, 2022.
Claudine was an established career woman with Gulf Oil Co. and Barker Homes. Part of her career, she spent years as a real estate broker. She loved to dance and participated for years in ballroom competitions with her late husband, Joe. Claudine continued to love dancing and live music up until the end. She was a classy lady with an outgoing personality who could easily light up a room. She loved her nice clothes, big hats and jewelry; but most of all she loved her family and friends.
She was born in Hickman County, daughter of the late Marshall Wilson Stinson and Claudia Mae Peters. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Waymon Buddy Williams Joseph Batson, and Bill Sugg. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Williams Sugg.
Survivors include her son; Marshall Sugg (Sandra), her grandchildren; Brad Sugg (Ashley), McKenzie Sugg (Rebecca), Barrett Sugg and Chloe McIntyre, her great grandchildren; Bradley and Eliana Sugg, her step mom; Edith Stinson, her brother; Ronnie Stinson (Jean), and Randy Peters; her sister; Sandra “Sandy” Parchment (Danny); daughter-in-law Sheila McIntyre (Kurt); special friend Milton Clark, several nieces and nephews and tons of family and friends.
Casket bearers will be Scott Lewis, Jason Stinson, Woody Johnson, Greg Allen, Dewayne Warren and Kurt McIntyre.
