Funeral services will be Saturday January 28, 2023 at 3:30 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Tummins and Bro. Roger Wright officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday January 27th from 4 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until time of service.
Shelia Darlene Tidwell, age 64 of Vanleer, TN passed away Tuesday January 24, 2023. Born in Dickson County she was the daughter of the late Luther and Bonnie Langham Shirley. Shelia had worked for the Dickson County Jail where she held the rank of Sergeant. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Marvin Tidwell of Vanleer, TN; son, Buddy Bales (Jerrica) of Wytheville, VA; daughters, Sabrina Pelt (Mitchell) of Port St. Joe, FL, Tonya Bates (Jim) of Lyles, TN; brother, Dennis Shirley of Vanleer, TN; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
