Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Francie Trostle officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as casket bearers. Please wear happy spring colors to celebrate her life.

Carolyn Lucile Stewart Howell, age 87, of Burns, TN, passed away May 8, 2023, at AHC Waverly.

Carolyn was born April 19, 1936, in Frametown, WV, to the late Herman Virgil Stewart and Tina Rose Stewart. Carolyn was married for 64 years to the late Robert Leslie Howell, who had retired from the Air Force. Being a military wife, Carolyn spent much of her life traveling, living in several states throughout the years. She was a wonderful mother; the “ultimate” mother in so many ways. She was a fabulous cook and baker. Nothing ever came from a box; everything was homemade. She fulfilled her calling in life to be a faithful wife and wonderful mother. She was always loving and always loved.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers; Herman Stewart, Darrell Stewart, and Harold Stewart.

Survivors include: her sons; CW4 Bruce Howell (Patricia G.) of Dickson, TN, Keith Howell (Tina) of Centerville, TN, daughters; Suzanne Elizabeth Adams (Danay) of Conway, SC, Margie Fultz (Wayne) of Vanleer, TN, Melody Sullivan of Dickson, TN, her brothers; Tom Stewart (Carolyn) of Corning, CA, Jay Stewart of Redding, CA, her sister; Marjorie Sarsfield of Murfreesboro, TN, grandchildren; Melanie Hucks (Scott), Amy Cox (Jason), Jason Howell (Carla), Josh Sullivan (Shaina), Kirstin Howell, Savannah Howell, Clint Fultz, Christen Rhodes, Catelyn Henderson, Colton Neal Fultz, great-grandchildren; Finley, Ollie, Hobie, Cranston, Addison, Emma, Paisley, Jeri, Jones, Quinn, Ivy, Eli, Libby, and several nieces and nephews.
