A celebration of life service will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Al Griffin and Taylor Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.

Jerry Edwin Griffin, age 76 of Bellevue, passed from this life on November 24, 2024, in his home. He was born in Dickson County on March 2, 1948, to the late William Henry Griffin, Jr. and Naomi Taylor Griffin.

Throughout Jerry’s younger years, he was very active in sports. He played softball for the White Bluff Merchants, played golf in his spare time, and coached junior professional football for the Bombers. He was known as free-spirited and always lived by the moto of “Live and Let Live”.

He was also a family man. He loved his whole family and held a special bond with his beloved pets: Hazel Grace and Mavis. Jerry was an avid Tennessee Vols fan. Go Big Orange!

Mr. Griffin was also successful in his work life. He held the title of Superintendent for Rogers Construction on three major hospital additions in the Nashville area. He also owned and operated his own construction company.

In addition to his parents: he was preceded in death by two sisters: Elaine Griffin and Janice Lucas; and a grandson: Alex Foster.

Survivors include his loving wife: Gina Patterson; his children: Jason Griffin (Jacque) of Charlotte, Jennifer Griffin Foster of White Bluff and Lacy Williams (Joshua) of Cave City, KY; his siblings: Carl Al Griffin (Marsha) of Dickson, Wm. Pierre Griffin (Charlene) of White Bluff, and Lorraine Glenn (Jimmy); his grandchildren: Drew Perry, Justin Foster, Haley Foster, Taylor Griffin (Dawn), Boyd Griffin, Meredith Wells, Archer Wells, and Sam Wells; and his great grandchildren: Aubrey, Luke, Madilyn, Wyatt, Zoey, Piper, and Nellie.
