Mr. Jenkins was born November 2, 1940 in Barren Fork area of Bon Aqua, TN. He was a son of the late George Mitchell Jenkins and the late Annie Ruth Clayborne Jenkins Bishop. At an early age his family moved to Lyles, and his home remained on that property for his lifetime. On January 30, 1963 he joined in marriage to Patricia Irene Roberts. He worked for nearly 40 years at State Industries where he served as the lead man on the line. He enjoyed being outdoors and spent much of his time camping and fishing at the Tennessee River. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Tennessee Titans and the Atlanta Braves. Danny was a good man, a true American, part of that “greatest generation” of our country. He worked hard, and he was dependable. He knew what truly was important in life, his family. He was dedicated and loyal to his wife and children. His family meant everything to him.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Bishop; and his brother, Jimmy Bishop.
