Beloved Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Matriarch
August 18, 1939 – February 18, 2025

 

     Shirley Ann Harp, affectionately known as "GG," went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 18, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on August 18, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Mildred Harp. Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Terry (Sandra) Harp and Bob Harp.

      She is survived by her brother, Mike (Elsa) Harp; her sister-in-law, Virginia Harp; her three children, Pamela Tackett, Carolyn Vanderploeg, and Scott (Kelly) Edens; and her five grandchildren, Kellie (Tomas) Colon, Brett Clark, Ryan Clark, Kelsey Jo (Brian) Alley, and Karley Edens. Shirley is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Angelean and Gabriel (Gabe) Colon, Shelby Clark, and Eden Jo Alley, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

      Shirley will be remembered for her deep love of family, her fiery personality, and her passion for Mexican food. She was the heart and soul of the family, a woman of strength, humor, and unwavering devotion. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

      A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 12:00 noon on March 29, 2025 at Old Path Baptist Church, 1041 Hwy 96 N. Fairview, TN 37062. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shirley's memory to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
