Celebration of Life services will be Sunday March 16, 2025 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Baggett, Bro. Chris McCurly and Stanley Spann officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday March 16th from 11 AM until time of service. Gene C. Albright, age 86 of Vanleer, TN passed away Monday March 10, 2025. He was born December 26, 1938 on the Albright Family farm in Vanleer, TN to the late H.C.(Buddy) Albright and Lilly May Miles Albright. He was born in the pre- Civil War house that has a dog trot through the center where now his daughter resides. Gene was a 1956 graduate of Charlotte High School. He met and fell in love with the late Margie McNew Albright of Speedwell, TN who shared an apartment with his sister Barbara in Nashville, TN. They married on January 3, 1964 in a snow storm and shared a life together for 58 years.
Gene began his carpenter trade with Albright Construction and retired from Stewart Lumber Company. He was well known for his craft in construction. It was done right or not at all. In his career his skillful hands-built hundreds of homes and businesses in Dickson County and surrounding areas.
Gene was a man of integrity. He valued a good name taught to him by his mother. His favorite things were Atlanta Braves and DCHS baseball, bluegrass and classic country music, buck dancing for his family, little trips with his granddaughter, family, friends, and feeding birds. He was a member of Walnut Street Church of Christ.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Debbie Albright of Vanleer, TN, his son Tim Albright of Vanleer, TN and his granddaughter Sophie Albright of Dickson, TN, his sisters Barbara Albright Hart of Vanleer, TN and Cathey Albright Harris (JC) of VanLeer, TN. Host of nieces and nephews.
