Funeral mass for Agin Rowencak, age 88 of Fairview, formerly of Dickson, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 from St. Christopher’s Church with Father Mathew Perumpally officiating.  Interment followed in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Nashville.  Mr. Rowencak died on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.

Born July 27, 1925 in Ukraine, Mr. Rowencak suffered through WWII, and came to the United States with a young wife and son and with only a suitcase.  He worked until he was 80 years old as a farmer, caretaker of St. Mary’s Orphanage, Diplomat Farms, at Scovill Schrader, and landscaping.  He was preceded in death by Katherine, his wife of 57 years.  So saddened by her loss, only Church and friends “kept him alive.”

He is survived by Sons, Wolodymyr Rowenczak and John Rowenczak; his daughter, Julie (Gary) Leturmy; grandsons, Matthew and Scott Rowenczak, and Garrett Leturmy; and granddaughter, Maya Rowencak.
