    Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, August 23, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. James Wall officiating. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 22nd  from 2:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday beginning at 12 noon until time of service. Family and friends will assemble at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram on Tuesday, August 25th at 9:00 a.m. for committal services and interment.
   Those desiring, memorials may be made to the Pond Church of Christ.
   Mrs. Mays, age 81, of Dickson died Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Horizon Medical Center after a short stay.
   Mrs. Mays was born in Cheatham County and was the daughter of the late Thomas Lafayette (Fate) and Eva Tennessee Stuart Brown. She was a homemaker and worked for 14 years with the former Southern Bell.  She was a graduate of Bellevue High School, Class of 1952. Over the years she was active with the Dickson County Unit of the American Cancer Society. She was active in her church work throughout her life and  was a member of the Pond Church of Christ.  She was the widow of the late Joe M. Mays who died in 2007. She was preceded in death by her six sisters; Leola, Mildred, Octavine, Adella, Edith and Vivian.
   Survivors include her son; Larry Mays and his wife, Cricket of Dickson, TN and her daughter; Nakena England and her husband, Tony of Dickson,TN, her grandchildren; Jonathan, Tonya and Nathan, her great grandchildren; Devin, Ethan, Jacob, Sydney, Zoey, Shelby, Shyann and Jovi. Several nieces and nephews.
