Funeral services for Sharon Tucker Hixson, “Miss Catfish Kitchen” age 63 of Burns, TN were conducted Monday, May 13, 2013 at 4:00PM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Franklin and Bro. Wesley Sesler officiating. Place of rest is in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hixson passed away peacefully May 9, 2013 at her home. She and her husband, Don are the owners and operators of the popular restaurant, the Catfish Kitchen. Sharon was born in Perry County, she is the daughter of Mrs. Nona Whitwell Tucker and the late William Glenn Tucker. Sharon was preceded in death by two brothers; Glenn Wayne Tucker and Jerry Tucker. She was a graduate of Columbia State where she received her LPN degree. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Don Hixson of Burns, TN, Her Daughters, Tracy Trotter and husband, Bill of Dickson, TN and Kristie Sullivan and husband, Kevin of Burns, TN; Her Mother, Mrs. Nona Whitwell Tucker of Dickson, TN; Three Step-Sons, William Mark Hixson and wife, Carlene, Ronald Ray Hixson and wife, Kim all of Southhaven, MS, and Chris Eugene Hixson of Dickson, TN; Brother, Harris Tucker and wife, Joyce of Dickson, TN; Grandchildren, Karson Sullivan, Jana Buttrey, Amber Gage and Tyler Gage; step-grandchildren, Codey Trotter, Christian Trotter, Todd Hixson, Bobby Hixson, Kiersten Hixson and Jeremy Hixson; Eight Great Grandchildren.
