Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Gilmer Gilliam, age 97 of Dickson, Tn will be conducted Wednesday morning, Jan. 15, 2014 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Baggett, minister. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday morning, Jan. 15th beginning at 9 AM until time of service. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Taylor Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gilliam, homemaker and widow of the late James Edward Gilliam, died Jan. 12, 2014 at NHC of Dickson Tn after a brief illness. Born in Hickman County, Mrs. Gilliam was the last of eleven children born to the late Thomas Levi and Emma Martin Gilmer. Ruth was a quiet sweet spirited lady, and enjoyed playing the organ in her past time. She was a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her siblings, Riley, Martin, Jimmy, Charles (Chick), Arthur (Shug), Hubert, Jack D., Ruth Pearl, Martha and Erma.
Survivors include Several Nieces and Nephews, and Several Great Nieces and Nephews.
