Thomas Dewayne Donegan, age 57, of Bon Aqua, TN, passed away on October 4, 2025. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated, and the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Thomas was born on July 16, 1968, in Dickson, TN, to the late Harse William Donegan and Daisy Mae Perry Donegan. He worked as a contractor for many years and proudly owned his own business. Thomas was a man of great passion and heart who found beauty and joy in life’s simplest moments. Laughter was his medicine. He never met a stranger; his genuine kindness and warmth drew people to him wherever he went. His smile was contagious, and his personality was larger than life.

He loved music, whether listening or singing along. It was more than sound to him, it was therapy, a language of the heart, and a way he expressed himself. He enjoyed fixing up old cars and trucks, then hitting the road with the radio up and the windows down. Thomas could build just about anything he set his mind to; his ability to bring to life what he envisioned was a true gift, an art that came naturally to him.

Thomas had a brilliant mind and a deep, loving soul. His heart resided on the Tennessee River, where he spent much of his time. His loved ones meant everything to him. He deeply loved his children, Amber, Brooklyn, Perry, and Preston, and was a proud grandfather to five beautiful grandchildren he adored and who adored him. He loved and cherished his soulmate, Starr, and raised her children as his own. His brothers, Jeff and Richard, were not just siblings but his absolute best friends. He shared a special bond with his nephews and nieces, Allen, Kayla, Hunter and Shelbee. Thomas will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughters, Amber Hera and Brooklyn Donegan; his sons, Perry Donegan and Preston Donegan; his brothers, Jeff Donegan and Richard Donegan; and his grandchildren, Violet Donegan, James Hera, Emilio Hera, Leila Hera, and Saidy Hera.
