  3. I will always remember Kam as a bright blue eyed, blonde haired all-American boy who I loved going candy shopping with me and his Mom when I would come to Oahu. 5. Kamuela’s time here was far too short. I will remember him for the moments and not the years.

He shared with me his enthusiasm for timepieces-not just their beauty or craftsmanship, but I think, for what they symbolize. Every “tick” is a reminder that our time together is precious. AND, every second is a chance to begin again. His journey to wellness was not just about endurance, but grace, strength and courage. He showed me that every day is a fresh start and that time and gratitude can be my friend. I am left with not only memories but hope, laughter and an appreciation for life’s simple moments. His memory will remind me to wind my watch, take a breath and cherish the time we have. Every second can shine with purpose.
