Charles “Eddie” Blount, age 66, was called home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2025, surrounded in love by his family. Born on October 27, 1959, in Charleston, West Virginia, he later made Nashville, Tennessee, his lifelong home. If you knew anything about him, you knew that he loved music. What started in a band in the hills of WV grew into a long and rewarding career in the country music industry. Through his years in Nashville, he built not only a respected career, but more importantly a network of treasured relationships he valued to the upmost.
He was an easy man to love. He did whatever it took to take care of his people. His personality filled any room he was in, always cracking a joke or getting someone to smile. Even after retirement, he would talk on the phone for hours with the friends and family he had made over the years. If he wasn’t talking about music or being on the lake, he was talking about his girls. Eddie loved his wife and two daughters more than anything in the world. His pride in them radiated through every conversation he had. He was the champion of the Blount family and will forever continue being so.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kris Blount, his two loving daughters, Emily and Allison Blount, as well as many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Ethel Blount, and his brother, Jack Blount.
A “Celebration of Love” to honor his life will be held on December 14th at One Church Home in Fairview TN, beginning at 2:30 pm. An additional service will be held shortly after in West Virginia. His legacy will live on through the music he helped bring into the world, the friends he met and cared for along the way, and his girls he loved more than anything in the world.
