Eunice Ann Lovell

Eunice Ann Hood Lovell, age 90 of Dickson, TN died on November 30, 2025.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.  The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:30 AM until the time of service.  For those desiring, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mrs. Lovell was born on January 14, 1935 in Hickman County, Tennessee.  She was a daughter of the late Garrett Spivie Hood and the late Mary Emily Bradley Hood.  Although Eunice was raised poor, and had many difficult times, she would say that she had lived a wonderful life.  Eunice was full of joy, happiness and contentment.  For many years she attended services at the Pomona Church of Christ.  Before retirement, she was a manager for Washland Cleaners.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hassell Lovell; all 10 of her siblings, Garrett Thomas Hood, William Carl Hood, John Edward Hood, Billy Wayne Hood, Willie B. Worley, Emma Lucille Moss, Mary Allene Hyndman, Betty Jane Massie, Margie Marie Hood, and Wanda Sue Tidwell.

Mrs. Lovell is survived by her son, James Lovell (Jenny); her daughter, Janet Jones (Jerry); 4 grandchildren, Blake William Jones (Renae), Bradley Wyatt Jones (Paige), Noah James Lovell, and Hope Faith Lovell Ruiz (Michael); 3 great grandchildren, Luke Wyatt Jones, Lincoln Scott Jones, and Levi Wayne Jones.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews that were greatly loved.
