JoAnne Love, age 89 of Burns, TN passed away peacefully at her home on December 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. Her wishes were to be cremated, and the family will have a private service at a later date.
She was born Peggy JoAnne Bear on March 25, 1936 to Guy Willard Bear, Sr. and Elsie Mae Brown Bear. She married Thomas Brown “Brownie” Love on November 15, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and her grandson, Trent Harris; her great granddaughter, Abigail Myatt; her sisters, Maxine Graham and Ruth Lanier; her brothers, Guy Willard Bear, Jr., Charles Nicolas “Nicky” Bear and James Lloyd “Cubby” Bear. She was a homemaker while her children were in school. She then worked in the cafeteria at Burns School until she retired.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula Martin of Dickson, TN, Kathy Guess (Willie) of Burns, TN, Marci Harris Swaw (Greg) of Dickson, TN, Traci Love of White Bluff, TN; sister, Gayle Beasley of Burns, TN; sister-in-law, Wilma Bear of Lyles, TN; 7 grandchildren, Derrick Dillard, Kyle Bates, Shae Tolbert (Roy), Alyson Fuson (Jacob), Christopher Rice, Shelbi Rose, Kelsi Sullivan; 6 great grandchildren, Miya Dillard, Kylee Rae Bates, Jeremiah Tolbert, Colton Myatt, Tyler Porter, Ryker Monzon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
