Mrs. Anita Gaye Bristol, age 62 of White Bluff, TN died on December 21, 2025 at the Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Home with prayers and tributes by Bro. John Murray, Pam Fields, and Michelle Cuneo.  Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery.  The visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 26, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Anita was born on May 18, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late H. Ray Jackson and the late Carol Lee Lester Jackson.  Being that her father served in the military, Anita’s family moved around a few times before settling down in Charlotte, TN.  She was a graduate of Dickson County High School, and shortly after began a career in the insurance industry.  She continued that career for over 40 years, most recently working as an IT quality specialist for The General insurance company based in Nashville, TN.  Anita had great hand/eye coordination, she could type very fast and could also play piano.  She liked gardening and growing beautiful flowers.  Saying Anita was an avid reader is an understatement.  She would read more books in a year than most people would read in a lifetime.  She enjoyed trips to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.  Anita was blessed to have a small group of close friends, often referred to as the “Graward Girls.”  She loved each one and cherished their friendship and the memories of their daytrips.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Alex Spicer and Jake Spicer.

Anita is survived by her husband of nearly 31 years, Michael “Mike” Bristol; her stepdaughter, Mishell Bristol (Tylor Clark); her sister, Bridget Matlock (Ricky); her brother, Marty Jackson; grandchildren, Zoey, Michael, and Nichoulas.  Also surviving is her stepmother, Ruth Jackson; her father-in-law, Bob Bristol, her mother-in-law, June Bristol; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  1. My deepest sympathy, prayers and condolences to Mike and the entire family. Anita and Mike are my neighbors and she was the sweetest, most gentle person. Always kind, soft spoken and all around a nice person. They would come in my store daily for her Pepsi. She will be missed. 🙏🙏🙏

  2. My mother, LeeAnn Cullen, worked with Anita at The General. They were very close. My mom passed away five years ago and Anita took myself, my mom, my son and daughter out to eat a few times with her. She loved on my mom in her last days and was so very kind to me. She was one of my favorite coworkers and friends of my mom’s because of how sincere she was. I know my mom is waiting to give her a big hug. The world doesn’t make many truly kind souls these days and she was one of them.
