Shirley Mae Wilburn, age 81 of Dickson, TN died on April 5, 2026 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Rock Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Shirley was born on May 29, 1944 in Hickman County, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Dallas Van Buren Mallady and the late Dillie Mae Bates. She worked as a seamstress for 30 years at Red Kap Industries. She enjoyed being outdoors. She was an outstanding hunter, great at fishing and loved gardening.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Mallady; and a sister, Barbara Wilburn.
Shirley is survived by her companion of 39 years, Joe Martin; brother, Leonard Mallady; sister, Linda McCoy; several nieces and nephews.
