Funeral services will be Thursday April 9, 2026 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Nashville National Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday April 8th from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. To view her service Thursday at 11 AM, click Here.
Lula Mai Tucker Mills, age 84 of Old Hickory, TN formerly of Dickson, TN passed away Monday April 6, 2026. Born in Dickson County on November 3, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Albert Grover and Edna Elizabeth Sensing Tucker, and was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Mills, Jr.; her siblings, John “Les” Tucker and Sallie Hayes. She had worked for Acme Boot and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Street (Joey) of Charlotte, TN, Patsy Wright of Lewisburg, TN; sister, Edith Davidson of Charlotte, TN; grandchildren, Joel Street (Tracey), Jason Street (Elizabeth), Billy Street (Brittany), Amanda Cooper (Wade); 18 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Lula Mai was neighbor of ours for 7+yrs. She loved her neighbors and would check on us all on regular basis. We will truly miss her. Rest in peace Lula.
Lula Mai was such a sweet lady that we will certainly miss. Her devotion to her faith was evident in everything she did.

My husband & I moved to Old Hickory from the UK in 1984 with our 2 very young children. We were so blessed that our new neighbours were Lula Mai & Bill Mills. (Coincidentally my maiden name was also Mills). They both made us so welcome & helped us to settle into our new home. We shared meals and many happy times together. We stayed in touch after our return to the UK and were able to visit a few times. We loved them both. Farewell wonderful lady. Love to all your family xx
