Mrs. Linda Faye Starkey Dean, age 81 of Dickson, passed from this life on April 24, 2026, at NHC of Dickson. She was born in Dickson on October 8, 1944, to the late Marvin Eugene Starkey and Dora Pauline Ivy.
Linda worked for many years in accounting for Goodlark Hospital in Dickson. She enjoyed spending her spare time outdoors, especially hiking to many different waterfalls. She had a great love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. If you knew Linda, you knew that she loved the beauty of Fall. She was married to her husband, Robert Wayne “Bobby” Dean for over 63 years.
Survivors include her loving husband: Bobby Dean of Dickson; her sons: Dwayne Dean and Darrell Dean (Chris), both of Dickson; her brothers: Milton Starkey of Dickson and Randy Starkey (Dorris) of Burns; her grandchildren: Paige Travis Asady (Armin) of Raleigh-Durham, NC, Kendel Barber (Jeffrey) of Dickson, Kasie Smith (Cody) of Bellevue, Tyler McGee (Kane) of Dickson, and Brody Dean of Chattanooga; as well as 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Linda’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no formal services held at this time.

I’m so sorry for your loss she was a wonderful lady I worked with her for years at the hospital and lived next door to her in west piney she will be truly missed sending prayers and love to all the family.
