Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11AM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Ross Greer will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 4PM until 8PM and again on Saturday, beginning at 9AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Roesch Patton Memorial Park in Nashville at 2PM.

Eulene Parker Tanner, age 83, of Dickson, TN, passed away on June 2, 2026.

Eulene was born on February 3, 1943, in Nashville, TN, to the late Milton Phillip Parker and Jewell Ann Browning Parker.

Eulene had a vibrant personality and was voted “best looking” in her high school class. She loved her family, friends, and Elvis Presley. One of her favorite vacations was a road trip to Graceland in Memphis, TN.

Eulene worked for the State of Tennessee when she met Charles Tanner in 1969. Since they both worked in Nashville, Charles would visit her at work which made her smile. After they married in 1970, she became a homemaker, and together they raised seven children. Early in their marriage they moved often for Charles’s work assignments with the United States Post Office. Eventually they settled on a 15-acre farm in White Bluff, TN raising cattle and horses. They enjoyed living in the country together. They babysat their grandchildren and held many family gatherings.

After Charles died in 1999, Eulene moved into the city of Dickson and became involved with the Dickson Senior Center. She also worked at the Dickson County Public Library for a time. She made many new friends in Dickson and went on road trips with her friends. She enjoyed living in her townhome and made friends among her neighbors.

Eulene always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She wrote her thoughts down on note cards and shared with others. She will be remembered for her warm, loving spirit and the many lives she touched. Among her many character traits; She was an amazing mother, daughter, wife, friend, caretaker, listener, communicator, and encourager.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her foster parents, Grover & Lorena Anderson, her husband, Charles Tanner Sr., her granddaughter, Brittany Tanner, her brothers, Jerry Parker & Paul Parker, and her sisters, Juanita Fruzzetti & Millie Johnson.

She is survived by her sisters, Faye DeGalliford of Brentwood, TN; Donna Patterson of Augusta, GA; Bonnie Miller of Panama City, FL; Gina Shearer of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Sylvia Middleton of Pomfret, MD, her children, Teri (Burt) Hopkins of Nashville, TN; Charlene (Pierre) Griffin of White Bluff, TN; Brenda (James) Klein of White Bluff, TN; Charles (Robbie) Tanner Jr. of White Bluff, TN; Mark Omohundro of Manassas, VA; Thomas (Karen) Tanner of White Bluff, TN; Jason Tanner of Chattanooga, TN, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
