Barbara Anne Hooper, age 78 of Fairview, TN, passed away on Friday July 17, 2026, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.
Bron on August 29, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Emil Hector DeZitter and Rita Clark DeZitter. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister: Eugenia “Jean” Tidwell and her brother: Charles DeZitter.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years: Wayne Michael Hooper; her daughters: Anna Jones of Franklin, Angie McClelland (Johnnie) of Friendswood, TX, Jeanne Davenport (Doug) of Knoxville, TN, Victoria Hooper (David Gerhart) of Philadelphia, PA, and Sara Hooper of Fairview, TN.
Also surviving are her eight grandchildren whom she adored: Melissa Summitt, Jessica Summitt, Sebastian Jones, Ian Jones, Ryan Jones, Ethan Long, Madeline Long, and Abby Long.
Her wishes were for no formal funeral services to be held. Place of Rest will be at the Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery.
