Ronald Wyatt Kemp, 79, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away August 12, 2026, after battle with heart disease at Williamson Medical Center. He was born on September 21, 1946, in Nashville, TN to Hilda and Glendill Kemp.
Life & Career
Ron attended McMinnville Central High School before entering the Army at a young age, proud to serve his country for several years. From there, he dedicated several decades to the restaurant industry with Captain D’s, work that moved him and his family around the country. Through it all, he cherished the time spent in Florida for over eight years, where he played golf almost every day. He lived in Middle Tennessee for most of his life, though his work took him and his family to several other states along the way.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Amy Kemp; children Troy (Mia) Kemp, Trina (Michael) Moore, Tambry Brechon, and Toshea’ Williams. He was a proud “Pop” to grandchildren Cara (Patrick) Fedun, Ashlyn (Cory) Turk, Peyton (Madison) Moore, Rylee (Chase) Edmisson, Reagan Brechon, Hazel Brechon, Stella Brechon, Avery Williams, and Asher Williams and great grandchildren, Colton Turk, Bria Fedun, Joseph Fedun, and Caleb Fedun with two more coming early next year.
Growing up in a large family, he is survived by his brothers and sisters, Wayne (Carolyn) Kemp, Judy (Al) Waggoner, Kaye (Mike) Couch, Cindy Cliburn, Tim (Carla) Kemp, Terry (Joanne) Kemp, and Toby (Kay) Kemp, with dozens of nieces and nephews as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and Glendill Kemp, and brother Glen Kemp.

Affectionately known by loved ones as Ronnie, he loved a good round of golf, old westerns, and history, and could always be found with 50’s music playing.
Services
Per Ron’s wishes, he was cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date; details will be shared with family and friends when available.
