Graveside services will be held at 2PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Place of rest will be in the Union Cemetery, in Dickson, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Bobbie Jean Cooke, age 92, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, at The Waters of Smyrna.
Born on December 28, 1933, to the late Pearl Gray Jakes Cooke and Thomas DeWitt Cooke, Bobbie lived a life anchored in her deep Christian faith and devotion to her Lord. She grew up in Old Hickory and East Nashville, later moving to Dickson with her parents in the early 1970s. She resided in Dickson for over 50 years before moving back to Old Hickory (several years ago).
Though Bobbie never married or had children of her own, her heart and home were always open. She was a cherished aunt to her many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her three brothers, Tomie D. Cooke, Morris B. Cooke, Billy Joe Cooke, and her three sisters, Magnus Snoddy, Viola Agee and June Brannon.
Bobbie is survived by her sister-in-law, Beatrice Cooke, who was her caregiver for a number of years, as well as two nieces, seven nephews, and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
