Funeral services will be Monday November 9, 2026 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Charlie Meek officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday November 8th from 2 to 7 PM and Monday from 10 AM until time of service.
Lila Sullivan Meek, age 82 of Dickson, TN passed away Friday November 6, 2026. Born February 8, 1944 in Dickson County she was the daughter of the late Harvel Clark and Edna Peeler Sullivan and she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Johnny Ray Meek; her son, Barry Meek; her brothers, Ralph Sullivan and Bobby Sullivan. Lila was a graduate of Dickson High School and went to Austin Peay State University where she received her Bachelors and Masters degree. She went to work at Stuart Burns Elementary School where she taught first grade for 9 years and then became the Principal from 1998 until her retirement in 2005. She loved flowers and going camping.
Survivors include her children, Jason Meek (Edith), Lisa Boyd (Chuck); 6 grandchildren, Abigail Stephenson, Garrett Boyd, Allison Mader, Austin Meek, Addison Meek, Alleigh Claire Meek; 3 step-grandchildren, Scottie Smith, Zachary Smith, Lucas Smith; 6 great grandchildren, Amelia Stephenson, Fitz Stephenson, Cooper Boyd, Annie Boyd, Leighton Smith, Ada Mader.
