Jerry Lee Scott age 72 of Dickson, TN, died on February 5, 2012. He was born February 23, 1939 in McKenzie Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Lee Scott, March 2, 1984 and James Scott, January 20, 1974; A granddaughter, LeAndra Star February 2, 1986.
He was married on April 9, 1977 to Sue Elaine Bergrun. He worked for over 40 years as a cytotechnologist in Florida, Colorado, and most recently at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Jerry co-authored a book Diagnostic Pulmonary Cytology, pioneering methods of micro-photography. He was passionate about food, family, photography, air craft and space.
He is survived by his Wife, Sue Scott; Son, Geoffrey L. Scott and his Wife, Cheryl of Dickson, Tennessee; his Daughter, Kenya Star Harris of Normal, Illinois; his Sister, Ruth Owen and her Husband, Junior of McKenzie, TN; and 8 grandchildren.
A Graveside Service was held at 2pm at the Union Academy Cemetery in McKenzie, TN.
