Funeral services for Mrs. Essie Bee Cathey, age 90 of Burns were conducted Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Bear and Bro. Mike Jennette officiating. Place of rest is in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Cathey died Wednesday October 17, 2012 at the Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. Born in Afton, OK she was the daughter of the late David and Angeline McCord Martin and was preceded in death by her husband Guy Herlon Cathey; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cathey; son-in-law, John Cederoth. Mrs. Cathey worked as a Seamstress and was a Homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Delbert Cathey and his wife Janice of McEwen, James ‘Buck’ Cathey of Burns; Daughter, Kay Cederoth Ramsey and her husband Dave of Dickson; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
